Nanotec introduces the CLC series, a line of compact open-frame servo drives designed for modern industrial and OEM applications. The series includes three sizes with rated currents of 3 A, 6 A and 15 A and is suitable for both stepper motors and BLDC motors.

The new motor controllers are compatible with CANopen, EtherCAT and Modbus RTU, simplifying integration into existing fieldbus systems. Field-oriented control (FOC) ensures smooth, efficient and precise motor operation. For standalone use, a built-in programming environment is available, while configuration and diagnostics are handled via Nanotec’s free Plug & Drive Studio software.

Three feedback options – SSI, incremental and Hall sensors – provide reliable position and speed monitoring. Dual-loop control allows two feedback channels to be used simultaneously. A brake output for external holding brakes is integrated. The drives also feature internal temperature monitoring for protection.

Analog setpoints, step & direction signals or NanoJ programs, along with multiple digital I/Os, allow flexible adaptation to various system requirements.

Typical applications for the CLC series include laboratory automation, medical technology, packaging and winding machines, SMD and pick-and-place systems, as well as compact robotic units and custom servo axes.
